“Dude,” Brandon says, “we should totally start a podcast!”

“Dude,” Real Magic Skeleton replies, “we should.”

“What should it be about?”

“Hmm,” RMS hums.

“Hmm,” Brandon hums.

“Hmm,” RMS hums.

“Oh! How about we watch the same movie every week and we review them after each viewing for an entire year?”

RMS is silent for a moment. “So… like… we watch the same movie every week.”

“Yeah!”

“And… we review the movie every week.”

“Uh-huh!”

“For an entire year.”

Brandon beams. “Yep!”

“Brandon,” RMS says. “That’s a terrible idea.”

“But…?”

“No—what? There wasn’t gonna be a ‘but.’ It’s just a bad idea.”

“Oh.”

They hum in thought again.

“What about an advice podcast?” RMS suggests. “But our advice is bad and we make irreverent jokes about the predicaments our listeners are in.”

Brandon frowns. He looks like he’s about to cry. “B-but… how would that help anyone?

“Oh—oh, jeez, Brandon, I’m sorry! I was just kidding! Please don’t cry!”

Brandon sniffles and mumbles, “Okay.”

Then he hums in thought again.

And so does RMS.

“Okay, what about this?” Brandon says. “We pick a song that kinda sucks and remake it so it doesn’t!”

“Yeah—yeah, that sounds fun!” RMS replies. “But, uh… do you know how to make music?”

“No. Do you?”

“No. And I’m honestly not sure if I actually know what music is.”

“Yeah, me neither.”

They hum in thought once again.

RMS sighs. “You know what? Let’s just do the movie idea.”

Brandon turns to him with a gasp, his smile absolutely brilliant. “Really?!”

“I mean,” RMS replies unenthusiastically, “it’s apparently the best suggestion we have.”

“Yeah, ‘cause it’s genius.”

RMS snorts. “Nah, but it can’t be the worst idea of all time.”
